The capital of Tunisia is Tunis.

  • Located in northeastern Tunisia, near the Mediterranean Sea.
  • It is the largest city in the country and the political, economic, and cultural center.
  • Famous for its historic Medina (Old Town), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Hosts key government institutions, including the Presidential Palace, Parliament, and Prime Minister’s Office.
  • Served by Tunis–Carthage International Airport.
  • Close to the ancient city of Carthage and the beautiful coastal suburb of Sidi Bou Said.
