President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has indeed gifted each of the 24 Super Falcons players a cash award equivalent to USD 100,000 (in naira at prevailing exchange), conferred on them the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), and allocated three‑bedroom apartments to each player. The 11‑member technical team also received national honours and cash awards equivalent to USD 50,000 each .

The event took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on July 28, 2025, following Nigeria’s triumphant comeback win over Morocco in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations—marking their record‑extending 10th WAFCON title .
