Head of State
- The King of the Netherlands (currently Willem-Alexander) is the official head of state.
- He is represented locally by the Governor of Aruba, a ceremonial role appointed by the King for a 6‑year term (renewable once).
- The current governor is Alfonso Boekhoudt, serving since January 2017
Head of Government
- The head of government is the Prime Minister of Aruba, who leads the Council of Ministers and is chosen from the majority party in the Parliament (Staten)
- Following elections on March 28, 2025, Mike Eman (Aruban People’s Party) resumed the role of Prime Minister
