Airports in Fiji – Key Overview

Fiji, being an island nation with over 330 islands, relies heavily on air travel for both international tourism and domestic transportation. The country has 2 international airports and over 20 smaller domestic airports and airstrips.


1. International Airports

Nadi International Airport (NAN)

  • Main international gateway to Fiji
  • Located on the west coast of Viti Levu (Fiji’s largest island)
  • Handles 90%+ of international traffic
  • Hub for Fiji Airways
  • Services flights to/from:
    • Australia, New Zealand, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Pacific Islands
  • Modern facilities with duty-free shops, lounges, and transport connections

Nausori International Airport (SUV)

  • Near Suva (capital city), on the southeast of Viti Levu
  • Smaller than Nadi, but handles both domestic and regional flights
  • Connects to Tuvalu, Tonga, and Vanuatu
  • Used more for government and business travel
