Deserts in Fiji – Are There Any?
Fiji does not have any deserts.
Fiji is a tropical island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean, characterized by:

Why Fiji Has No Deserts
- Tropical Climate: Warm temperatures and high humidity year-round.
- Rainy Seasons: Fiji has a wet season (November to April) with cyclones and heavy rains.
- Vegetation: The islands are covered with dense green vegetation, rivers, and fertile soil.
- No Arid Zones: Deserts require dry, arid conditions with very low precipitation—which is the opposite of Fiji’s environment.
What Fiji Has Instead
While it lacks deserts, Fiji is rich in:

- Mangrove forests
- Volcanic mountains
- Savanna grasslands (in drier areas like the western parts of Viti Levu)
