Here’s a clearer picture of the most widely used phones and brands in Honduras:

Market Share Snapshot (Mid-2025)

According to StatCounter data from June 2025, the most used mobile device brands across all mobile devices (phones + tablets) in Honduras are:

  • Samsung: 57.41%
  • Motorola: 5.62%
  • Apple: 5.23%
  • Xiaomi: 4.81%
  • Honor: 3.95%
  • Unnamed/other: 6.47%

However, when excluding tablets and focusing on mobile phones only (July 2025 data):

  • Samsung: 35.95%
  • Apple: 30.42%
  • Motorola: 5.19%
  • Xiaomi: 4.94%
  • Honor: 4.63%
  • Other/Unknown: 5.9%

Key Takeaways

  • Samsung is by far the dominant player—especially in mobile phones and overall devices.
  • Apple holds a surprisingly strong second place in the mobile phone-only category.
  • Motorola, Xiaomi, and Honor also maintain modest but significant presence.
  • Feature phone usage remains important, though declining; revenue from feature phones in Honduras is expected at about US$19.8 million in 2025, with a projected annual decline of around 5.2% Statista.

What This Means for Consumers

  • Samsung leads by a wide margin, offering a broad range of phones from budget to flagship.
  • Apple’s high share suggests a notable demand for premium smartphones among Honduran users.
  • Brands like Motorola, Xiaomi, and Honor capture the budget to mid-range segments effectively.
  • While feature phones are still in use—especially in rural or cost-conscious segments—the trend strongly favors smartphones.

So, bottom line: most Hondurans use Samsung phones, followed by strong representation from Apple, with Motorola, Xiaomi, and Honor rounding out the mainstream market.
