Nollywood: The Nigerian Film Industry

Nollywood is the Nigerian film industry and one of the biggest in the world, alongside Hollywood (USA) and Bollywood (India). It produces thousands of films annually, mostly in English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa languages. Known for its compelling storytelling, Nollywood movies cover themes like drama, comedy, romance, and social issues.

Notable Nollywood Actors & Actresses

Veteran Nollywood Actors:

  1. Pete Edochie – Known for his deep voice and authoritative roles.
  2. Olu Jacobs – A legendary actor with international experience.
  3. Joke Silva – A veteran actress and wife of Olu Jacobs.
  4. Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) – A classic actor and former politician.
  5. Kanayo O. Kanayo – Famous for his “ritual” roles in Nollywood films.
