The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Europe Chapter, has appointed Prince Sam Onuegbunam as the Youth Ambassador for Türkiye. The appointment was announced recently by the council’s Governor, Ambassador Collins Idahosa. Ambassador Idahosa stated that Onuegbunam will play a vital role in promoting Nigerian interests and fostering connections among all Nigerian youths in Türkiye, adding that his exceptional leadership skills and dedication to youth development will help strengthen youth networking, cooperation, and development among Nigerians in Türkiye.In his remarks, Prince Onuegbunam said he would ensure the voices of young Nigerians living in Türkiye are heard and that they are equipped with the resources and support needed to thrive. Prince Onuegbunam hails from Ezinesi-Odume in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Born in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwestern Nigeria, he received his basic education in Zaria, Kaduna State, and later in Jos, Plateau State, both in northern Nigeria.

His unwavering commitment to uplifting marginalized communities has earned him widespread recognition. In 2022, he was further elevated with the distinguished title of Owelle of Odume by the entire Odume community in Aninri LGA.
