Saint Lucia has several seaports and harbors that serve both commercial shipping and tourism, especially the cruise industry. Here are the main seaports:


Major Seaports in Saint Lucia

1. Port Castries (Main Seaport)

  • Location: Castries (capital city, northwest coast)
  • Primary cruise ship terminal and cargo port
  • Facilities:
    • Pointe Seraphine Cruise Terminal (duty-free shopping, restaurants)
    • La Place Carenage Terminal (in downtown Castries)
    • Container and bulk cargo facilities
  • Most cruise ships dock here
  • Managed by: Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA)

2. Port Vieux Fort

  • Location: Southern Saint Lucia, near Hewanorra International Airport
  • Mainly handles bulk and general cargo
  • Less tourism traffic but strategically important for trade
  • Deepwater port, used for petroleum and container shipping

3. Rodney Bay Marina

  • Location: Gros Islet (northwest coast)
  • A yacht and sailing hub, not a commercial port
  • Facilities:
    • Over 200 berths
    • Customs, immigration, restaurants, repair services
  • Hosts the finish of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC)

4. Soufrière Bay

  • Located on the southwest coast, near the Pitons
  • Welcomes smaller cruise vessels, yachts, and catamarans
  • Stunning views and access to popular attractions like Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls, and the Pitons

5. Marigot Bay

  • Small, scenic harbor known for its natural beauty and luxury yachts
  • Offers anchorage, boutique marina services, and resort access
  • Not a commercial or industrial seaport
