Tobi Amusan – Nigerian Sprint Hurdler & World Record Holder

Oluwatobiloba “Tobi” Amusan is a Nigerian track and field athlete specializing in the 100m hurdles. She is one of the most dominant female hurdlers in recent history.

Career Highlights:

  • World Record Holder – 12.12 seconds in the 100m hurdles (set at the 2022 World Championships)
  • World Champion (2022) – First Nigerian athlete to win a World Championship gold medal
  • Commonwealth Games Champion (2018, 2022) – Two-time gold medalist
  • Diamond League Champion (2021, 2022, 2023) – First Nigerian to win the Diamond League trophy
