In a grand display of camaraderie and school spirit, alumni of the University of Ilorin took over La Bamba Restaurant, Ikeja, on November 22, 2025, for a reunion party that will be etched in memory for years to come!
The event, which brought together old students from various graduating classes, was a masterclass in fun and entertainment, with attendees rocking custom-designed polo shirts, specially created for the occasion.
The atmosphere was electric, as alumni young and old mingled, laughed, and let loose, reliving memories of their university days.The night was filled with side attractions, including games and quizzes, with a cash prize up for grabs for those who got the answers right.
The University school anthem, led by Gboyega and Ndanusa, got everyone singing along, while Ossy the Grandmaster, the DJ of the night, kept the party going with a playlist of nostalgic old school tunes and Afro beat vibes.Aruna, the charismatic MC, kept the energy high, as attendees indulged in a sumptuous spread of Nigerian delicacies, including fried rice, jollof rice, vegetables and fruit salad, peppered chicken, fried meat, and grilled fish.
The evening was a testament to the power of unity and teamwork, with special acknowledgement going to Mr. Samuel Ogundele a.k.a Lawi who was the Chief Host of the grand event. Mention must also be made of Mr. Eddy Ajoge, JMK, Mrs. Adeola Kunle Ayo, Mr. Dejo Richards (a showbiz impresario),
Mr. Gboyega Akosile (S. A., Media to the Lagos State Governor), Mr. Debo Adewunmi, Mr.Ebele Enuwa
(Kilimanjaro Restaurant, Market Square Supermarket) Mrs. Oyin Oduola, Mrs. Mofisayo Olayinka, Mr. Ndanusa, and Mr. Tope Afolabi, among others, who worked tirelessly to make the event a reality.
As the night drew to a close, it was clear that this was a reunion that would be remembered for a long time to come – a celebration of friendship, school spirit, and the unbreakable bond between Unilorin alumni!
