Okezue Alexander Bell is a Nigerian-American entrepreneur, inventor, and researcher currently studying mathematics at Stanford University. He has conducted applied AI research at institutions such as Microsoft, Harvard Medical School, the MIT Media Lab, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Notably, he developed the WeArm, a low-cost prosthetic arm successfully tested by amputees and reproduced in countries including Iran, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.

In addition to his research, Bell is the founder and president of Fidutam, one of the largest responsible technology civil society groups with nearly 1,600 members across over 50 countries. Fidutam has developed a digital ID platform aimed at providing financial services to underserved communities and has collaborated with organizations such as the White House, Google, and OpenAI.

Bell’s work has been recognized globally; he was one of 81 students worldwide named a Research Science Institute (RSI) Scholar by MIT and the Center for Excellence in Education. He has also been featured in various media outlets, including Forbes and BusinessDay.

Beyond his academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Bell is active in public speaking and advocacy, having presented at events such as the United Nations’ COP27 Climate Conference.
