Major Caribbean Seaports
- Puerto Cortés
- Location: Northern coast, Caribbean Sea
- Largest and busiest port in Honduras
- Main hub for container shipping and imports/exports
- Part of the U.S. Container Security Initiative
- La Ceiba Port
- Location: Northern coast
- Primarily used for passenger ferries to the Bay Islands (Roatán, Utila)
- Also handles some cargo operations
- Tela Port
- Location: Northern coast
- Smaller commercial port and fishing hub
- Trujillo Port
- Location: Northern coast
- Growing cruise ship destination and cargo port
Bay Islands Ports
- Roatán Cruise Terminal (Mahogany Bay & Coxen Hole)
- Welcomes cruise ships from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, etc.
- Connected to tourism services, beaches, and diving tours
- Utila and Guanaja Docks
- Smaller docks for ferries, cargo, and private boats

- Puerto de San Lorenzo
- Location: Gulf of Fonseca (Pacific coast)
- Main Pacific port for Honduras
- Handles general cargo, seafood exports, and fuel imports
