Here are 10 groundbreaking inventions by Black innovators that have significantly impacted the world:

Morgan’s “Safety Hood” was used to protect firefighters and later adapted for military use during World War I.

5. The Blood Bank System – Dr. Charles Drew (1940s)

Drew pioneered blood plasma preservation and storage, leading to the modern blood bank system and saving millions of lives.

6. The Home Security System – Marie Van Brittan Brown (1966)

Brown invented the first home security system, which included a camera and a two-way communication system, laying the foundation for modern security technology.

9. The Ice Cream Scoop – Alfred L. Cralle (1897)
