Profession: Mixed Martial Artist (MMA), Professional Boxer

Early Life & Struggles

  • Born into poverty in Batié, Cameroon, Ngannou faced a tough childhood with limited education and resources.
  • Worked in a sand quarry as a child to support his family.
  • At age 26, he migrated to France seeking a better life but was homeless upon arrival.
  • Found a gym in Paris where he trained in boxing before transitioning to MMA.

MMA Career & UFC Achievements

  • MMA Debut: 2013 in France.
  • Joined UFC: 2015 and quickly became a knockout artist.
  • Biggest Wins in UFC:
    • Knocked out Alistair Overeem with a vicious uppercut in 2017.
    • Defeated Stipe Miocic in 2021 to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion.
    • Defended his title against Ciryl Gane in 2022 despite a knee injury.
