Meet the Stephenson Triplets: Jean, Jeanet & Jeanice

A Remarkable Achievement

Jean, Jeanet, and Jeanice Stephenson made headlines when they graduated together from South University in Montgomery, Alabama, earning their Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing—a rare and inspiring milestone

What Inspired Them

They drew inspiration from their mother, a nurse herself, who instilled in them a passion for healthcare from an early age

Study Partners for Life

Their triplet bond proved to be an academic advantage:

  • “If one person doesn’t know something, you can go to the other, and maybe they’ll explain it a little better,” shared Jeanice
  • Jean added, “We motivate each other, help each other, make sure everyone is passing and learning at the same pace”

Shared Lives, Personalized Paths

Growing up, they’ve shared nearly everything—cars, clothes, rooms, even bathrooms They also enjoy playful mix-ups thanks to their identical looks:

“Sometimes we do play tricks on people,” joked Jeanet

Despite their shared professional beginning, each sister plans a different specialization within nursing:

  • Jeanet is aiming for the ICU
  • Jean is drawn to pediatrics or NICU
  • Jeanice wants to work in the Emergency Room (ER)
Yet, they dream of one day working together in the same hospital

Why This Story Matters

  • A Celebration of Family & Achievement: Their journey is a testament to how closely knit families can support and elevate each other.
  • Breaking Stereotypes: Three Black triplet sisters achieving such educational success together brings visibility and inspiration to women in STEM and healthcare.
  • Unity with Individuality: They exemplify how shared beginnings can lead to unique, fulfilling paths—all while remaining connected.
