Saint Martin has a tropical climate, typical of the northeastern Caribbean, with warm temperatures year-round, two main seasons, and distinct rainy and dry periods. Here’s a breakdown:

Often called the “cool season”, though still warm and sunny.

Lower humidity, clearer skies, and ideal for tourism.

Rainfall is low; showers are brief.

Wet/Hurricane Season: May to November

Also the low tourist season due to potential storms and hotter, humid conditions.

Afternoon thunderstorms are more common, especially from August to October.

Avg. daytime temps: 30–32°C (86–89°F)

Hurricane risk peaks between August and October.

Notable past hurricanes:

Hurricane Irma (Sept 2017) caused major damage to both sides of the island.

Recovery efforts since have rebuilt infrastructure including airports, schools, and hotels.
