Saint Kitts and Nevis has two main airports, one on each island, serving international and regional flights. These airports play a critical role in tourism, trade, and inter-island travel.


Airports in Saint Kitts and Nevis


1. Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) – Saint Kitts

  • Location: Just outside Basseterre, the capital of Saint Kitts.
  • IATA Code: SKB
  • Type: International airport with commercial, charter, and private jet services.
  • Facilities:
    • Modern terminal with customs and immigration
    • Runway length: ~2,439 meters (suitable for large aircraft)
    • VIP lounge, rental cars, and duty-free shops

  • American Airlines – direct flights from Miami, Charlotte
  • British Airways – direct flights from London-Gatwick (via Antigua or other stops)
  • Air Canada – seasonal flights from Toronto
  • LIAT, InterCaribbean Airways – regional connections to other Caribbean islands
  • Private jets & charters – common during high tourism seasons

2. Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV) – Nevis

  • Location: Near Newcastle, northeast coast of Nevis.
  • IATA Code: NEV
  • Type: Small international airport with regional and private services.
  • Runway: Shorter (~1,220 meters) – handles small aircraft.
  • Named after: Former Premier Vance W. Amory.

Air Services:

  • Inter-island flights – especially to Saint Kitts and Antigua.
  • Charter and private flights – popular with tourists and luxury travelers.
  • Cape Air and Air Sunshine – operate small aircraft connecting to nearby islands.

Customs & Immigration

  • Both airports have full customs, immigration, and security services.
  • Saint Kitts handles most international arrivals, while Nevis serves more private and regional travelers.
