Here’s a list of the major airports in Tunisia, serving both international and domestic flights:


Main International Airports

1. Tunis–Carthage International Airport (TUN)

  • Location: Tunis (Capital city)
  • Tunisia’s busiest and most important airport
  • Handles international flights to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa

2. Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR)

  • Location: Monastir (East coast)
  • Popular for tourists visiting Sousse and nearby resorts
  • Focuses on charter and seasonal flights

3. Djerba–Zarzis International Airport (DJE)

  • Location: Djerba Island
  • Main gateway for tourists heading to the island and southern Tunisia
  • Serves international and domestic flights

4. Enfidha–Hammamet International Airport (NBE)

  • Location: Between Sousse and Hammamet
  • One of the newest airports in Tunisia (opened in 2009)
  • Serves tourist-heavy areas on the coast

5. Sfax–Thyna International Airport (SFA)

  • Location: Sfax (South-central Tunisia)
  • Important for business travel
  • Mostly domestic with some international services

6. Tozeur–Nefta International Airport (TOE)

  • Location: Tozeur (Southwest)
  • Gateway to Sahara desert tourism and oasis towns

7. Gabès–Matmata International Airport (GAE)

  • Location: Gabès
  • Serves the southeastern region of Tunisia
