Darrion Cockrell, a former gang member who turned his life around and became an inspiring educator. In 2020, Darrion Cockrell was named Missouri Teacher of the Year for his outstanding work as a physical education teacher at Crestwood Elementary School in the Lindbergh School District. His story is a powerful example of resilience and the positive impact educators can have on their students.
