Radisson Banks is a remarkable young woman who has distinguished herself both academically and athletically.


Academic Achievement

In 2023, Radisson Banks made history by becoming one of the first Black valedictorians at Bakersfield High School in California, breaking a 125-year-old precedent. Alongside fellow student Nevaeh Herron, she achieved this milestone, highlighting the school’s commitment to academic excellence and diversity.


Athletic Career

Continuing her journey of excellence, Radisson Banks joined the University of Washington’s women’s soccer team as a forward. In her freshman year (2023), she appeared in 18 games, making eight starts, and recorded three goals and one assist. Her sophomore season (2024) saw her participate in 17 matches, with three starts, scoring three goals on seven shots, achieving a .429 shot percentage. She played a total of 464 minutes, with a season-high of 65 minutes in a 2-0 win against UC Irvine.

Radisson’s athletic prowess and dedication have not gone unnoticed. She was featured in an adidas Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) campaign, highlighting her as one of the prominent athletes representing the University of Washington.
