Cameroon has had a series of Prime Ministers since gaining independence. Below is a comprehensive list of individuals who have served in this capacity:​

Prime Ministers of Cameroon:

  1. Ahmadou Ahidjo​
    • Term: January 1, 1960 – May 15, 1960​
    • Notes: Became the first President of Cameroon after serving as Prime Minister.​
  2. Charles Assalé​
    • Term: May 15, 1960 – June 19, 1965​
  3. Vincent de Paul Ahanda​
    • Term: June 19, 1965 – November 20, 1965​
  4. Simon Pierre Tchoungui​
    • Term: November 20, 1965 – June 3, 1972​
  5. Paul Biya​
    • Term: June 30, 1975 – November 6, 1982​
    • Notes: Succeeded Ahmadou Ahidjo to become the President of Cameroon in 1982.​
  6. Bello Bouba Maigari​
    • Term: November 6, 1982 – August 22, 1983​
  7. Luc Ayang​
    • Term: August 22, 1983 – April 16, 1984​
  8. Sadou Hayatou​
    • Term: April 26, 1991 – April 9, 1992​
  9. Simon Achidi Achu​
    • Term: April 9, 1992 – September 19, 1996​
  10. Peter Mafany Musonge​
    • Term: September 19, 1996 – December 8, 2004
  11. Ephraïm Inoni​
    • Term: December 8, 2004 – June 30, 2009
