    • Hot temperatures year-round.
    • Grasslands with scattered trees.

3. Arid and Semi-Arid Climate (Sahel & Parts of the Caribbean)

  • Found in Northern Africa (e.g., parts of Chad, Niger, Sudan, and the Horn of Africa) and Caribbean islands with dry zones like Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire.
  • Characteristics:
    • Low rainfall and long dry periods.
    • High temperatures, especially in desert areas.
    • Sparse vegetation, mostly shrubs and cacti.

4. Humid Subtropical Climate (Southern Africa & Some Caribbean Regions)

  • Found in Southern Africa (e.g., South Africa, Eswatini, Zimbabwe) and Caribbean regions like the Bahamas and parts of Cuba.
  • Characteristics:
    • Warm summers and mild winters.
    • Moderate to high rainfall, especially in summer.
    • Supports agriculture and urban settlements.

5. Mediterranean Climate (North African Coastal Areas)

  • Found in coastal areas of Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.

    • Similar to climates in Southern Europe.

6. Mountain Climate (Highland Areas of Africa & Some Caribbean Islands)

  • Found in Ethiopian Highlands, Rwenzori Mountains, and parts of Jamaica & Dominican Republic.
  • Characteristics:
    • Cooler temperatures due to high elevation.
    • More rainfall than surrounding lowlands.
    • Varied vegetation, from forests to alpine tundra.

7. Marine Climate (Coastal & Island Nations in the Caribbean)
