The students converted a traditional internal combustion (petrol) motorcycle—specifically a Bajaj “Okada”—into a fully electric motorcycle by retrofitting it with components like an electric motor, motor controller, and lithium-ion battery cells

- The vehicle now travels 80–100 km on a single charge, runs quietly, and produces no tailpipe emissions
- The students acquired a used Bajaj bike and sourced essential components through personal funding—supported at lower cost by ThinkBikes Limited in Ibadan
