Dr. Dóminique Kemp is an American mathematician renowned for his contributions to harmonic analysis and geometry, particularly in the field of decoupling theory. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington in June 2021, becoming the first Black student to achieve this distinction at the institution.
Currently, Dr. Kemp is a postdoctoral member at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, New Jersey, where he focuses on research areas that bridge harmonic analysis, geometry, and number theory.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Kemp is also a passionate pianist, drawing inspiration from jazz legends like Oscar Peterson and classical composers such as Chopin and Rachmaninoff
