Nicholas Watson, a high school student from Texarkana, Arkansas, has achieved a remarkable milestone by graduating as valedictorian with a 4.8 GPA—the highest in his school’s history. Diagnosed with autism and ADHD, Nicholas faced early predictions that he would struggle with reading and mathematics. Defying these expectations, he not only excelled academically but also gained acceptance to 45 colleges and universities, securing over $1.5 million in scholarship offers.

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Nicholas demonstrated versatility by participating in sports such as soccer, cross country, track, and basketball. He chose to attend Harding University on a basketball scholarship, where he also plans to coach youth basketball. Entering college with 64 credits, Nicholas intends to major in Electrical Engineering, aspiring to develop electronic devices and pursue opportunities at companies like Google and Tesla.

Reflecting on his journey, Nicholas emphasized self-definition: “No matter what circumstance or whoever defines you. You’re the one who defines yourself.”
