Bennie Purrie: Nigeria’s First Carbon Fiber Sports Car

In November 2019, Mallo unveiled the Bennie Purrie, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s automotive industry. The sports car features a tubular chassis framed with steel and a fiberglass body, designed to withstand the challenging conditions of Nigerian roads. Equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine and a 5-speed transmission, the Purrie can accelerate from 0 to 120 km/h in 12 seconds. Its design includes gull-wing doors and a cooling system with four radiators to maintain optimal engine temperature.

Bennie Sternum: A New Chapter in Nigerian Automotive Innovation

Building on the success of the Purrie, Mallo introduced the Bennie Sternum, a high-performance sports car named after the human sternum to emphasize safety. The Sternum is engineered with air suspension systems that allow adjustable ground clearance, enabling it to navigate various terrains. It boasts a 4.2-liter engine producing 340 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Mallo’s vision with the Sternum is to create a vehicle that combines performance with adaptability to local road conditions.
