Major International Airport

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) – San Juan

  • Location: Carolina (near San Juan)
  • The busiest and largest airport in Puerto Rico
  • Main gateway for international and U.S. mainland flights
  • Served by major airlines: JetBlue, American, Delta, Southwest, United, etc.
  • Closest to San Juan, making it the most convenient for tourists and business travelers

Other Regional Airports

Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) – Aguadilla

  • Northwest Puerto Rico
  • Former U.S. Air Force base (Ramey Air Force Base)
  • Flights to/from the U.S. (New York, Florida)
  • Serves western Puerto Rico

Mercedita Airport (PSE) – Ponce

  • Southern coast
  • Regional flights to U.S. mainland and Caribbean
  • Serves the southern region of the island

Antonio Rivera Rodríguez Airport (VQS) – Vieques

Small island off the east coast of Puerto Rico

  • Short domestic flights from San Juan or Ceiba
  • Used for access to beaches and bioluminescent bays

Benjamin Rivera Noriega Airport (CPX) – Culebra

  • Another small island off Puerto Rico’s east coast
  • Access via charter and small commercial flights

Ceiba Airport (José Aponte de la Torre Airport – RVR)

  • Ceiba, southeastern Puerto Rico
  • Replaced the old Roosevelt Roads Naval Station
  • Connects to Vieques and Culebra
